President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday called on agrarian reform beneficiaries to utilize modern technology to help them in their farming.

Marcos made the call during the Gawad Agraryo 2025, which recognizes the beneficiaries' significant contributions to the agricultural sector.

“Hangad kong ipagpatuloy ninyo ang pag-aalaga sa inyong mga lupang sakahan at pagpapalago ng inyong ani gamit ang aming handog na tulong,” Marcos said in his speech.

(I hope you continue taking care of your lands and improving your yields through the help we provided.)

''Palalalimin niyo ang inyong kaalaman hinggil sa industriya at gamitin ninyo ang makabagong teknolohiya upang mapalawak pa ang inyong karanasan,'' he added.

(Enrich your knowledge of the industry and use modern technology to develop your skills.)

Marcos also ensured the agrarian reform beneficiaries that the administration would help them to increase their productivity in the agrarian sector.

''Ipagpatuloy po natin ang ating mga ginagawa para tulungan ang ating magsasaka upang tiyakin na mayroon po tayong ipapakain sa buong madlang Pilipino,'' Marcos said.

(Let us continue what we're doing to help our farmers to ensure that we will have food on our table.)

The President also said the administration already distributed nearly 70,000 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) and thousands of Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgages to free farmers of their debts.

Out of 45 finalists, 17 awardees were recognized during the event, which include: Ten Most Outstanding Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), three Most Progressive ARB Organizations (ARBOs), and four Most Progressive Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs).

Each outstanding ARB received a plaque, medal, and P25,000 cash award in recognition of their productivity and commitment to their families, communities, and the environment.

The most progressive ARBOs and ARCs, meanwhile, were recognized for providing reliable services to their members, promoting sustainable development, and uplifting their communities. Each received a plaque, medal, and projects worth P70,000. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
