Gasoline pump prices up, kerosene down Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025

oil prices pump prices gasoline fuel price adjustment

Fuel retailers on Monday announced mixed movement on pump prices of petroleum products, following seven straight weeks of hikes for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Flying V, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.30, while rolling back kerosene by P0.20. There will be no changes for diesel.

Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 4:01 p.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected rollbacks for this week, citing oversupply concerns that could outpace demand growth, the increased inventory in the United States, the US government shutdown, and the ceasefire in Gaza.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, diesel by P0.80, and kerosene by P0.20.

Year-to-date adjustments stood at a total net increase of P14.70 per liter for gasoline, P17.05 per liter for diesel, and P5.45 per liter for kerosene as of September 30, 2025. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
