BSP warns public vs. fake representatives soliciting donations, personal information
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Wednesday warned the public against individuals posing as BSP officers or personnel to solicit donations or obtain personal information.
In an advisory, the BSP stressed that it does not solicit donations or any form of monetary contribution from the public.
The central bank urged individuals to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of communications and documents purportedly issued by or associated with the BSP.
The BSP also encouraged the public to report suspicious or illegal activities to law enforcement authorities for investigation and appropriate action.
Fraudulent or suspicious claims involving the BSP may likewise be reported through the central bank's official contact number or email address:
