LTO extends deadline for registration of vehicles with plates ending in 1
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the deadline for registration of vehicles with license plates ending in the number 1 until Saturday this week.
According to a report on Dobol B sa News TV on Wednesday, the LTO has extended the deadline of registration from today, January 31, to Saturday, February 3 for those in the National Capital Region.
The report said the extension is for the government to be able to accommodate all those who will not be able to have their vehicles registered today.
There will be no penalties for those with license plates ending in 1 who will have their vehicles registered with the LTO until Saturday.
GMA News Online has reached out to the LTO for further details, but no response has been received as of posting time.
On Tuesday, the motor vehicle inspection system (MVIS) of the LTO on Tuesday caused heavy traffic along East Avenue in Quezon City as two northbound lanes have been occupied by public utility vehicles (PUVs) that were up for a roadworthiness check. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
