Toyota PH to kick off 2024 racing season on July 13


Toyota Motor Philippines has announced the start of its 10th racing season.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has announced the start of its 10th racing season.

In a news release, TMP said its Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup or TGR Vios Cup will now be called TGR Racing Philippine Cup “signifying a new chapter in the country’s racing scene.”

The carmaker and retailer said the TGR Philippine Cup will be held for three weekends which will be open to the public:

  • Race Weekend 1 July 13
  • Race Weekend 2 September 28
  • Race Weekend 3 November 9 

“All three race weekends will be held at the Clark International Speedway in Mabalacat, Pampanga,” TMP said.

TMP said it launched its racing series in 2014 with the goal of bringing the thrill of motorsports closer to Filipino racing fans by inviting professional and amateur homegrown racers to race the locally made fan-favorite sedan, the Toyota Vios, in its OMR or One Make Race form.
