DOE reminds EV charging station providers to submit annual reports

The Department of Energy (DOE) reminded providers of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) to report all installations before the end of the month, as part of the annual monitoring report required from stakeholders.

In an advisory, the DOE said all accredited providers—operators, suppliers, and services—should submit their annual monitoring report by February 28, starting from the date of their accreditation. They are also required to submit the report on the unbundling of charges for DOE-registered stations.

“For EVCS Provider service and supplier, all installed and supplied own/private and commercial use EVCS must be reported,” the advisory read.

The DOE noted that submissions should be sent to the Electric Vehicle Industry management Division through its online platform.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. last year directed the Department of Energy (DOE) and other agencies to focus on finding ways to lower the cost of production, financing, and charging infrastructure to ensure a seamless EV industry.

This comes as he wants 10% of government service vehicles to be electric-powered. The government has also set a target of 2.45 million electric vehicles and around 65,000 charging stations by 2028. — BM, GMA Integrated News
