GSIS eyes rolling out online payment services

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Wednesday said it is looking at rolling out online payment services for loan services, aside from expanding its payment centers.

According to GSIS South Luzon Group Vice President Rachel Edjan, the agency has already expanded its touch points to increase the collection centers for loan payments.

GSIS borrower can now pay through select Bayad Centers and Bayad partners for all its loan accounts.

The centers collect payments for enhanced salary loan, emergency loan assistance, summer one month salary loan, eCard cash advance, enhanced consoloan, emergency loan, home emergency loan, study now pay later loan, fly PAL pay later loan, educational assistance loan, stock purchase loan, regular policy loan, optional policy loan, GSIS financial assistance loan, program for restructuring and repayment of debts, multi-purpose loan, and other upcoming GSIS loans.

“Sa ngayon po, tayo ay tumatanggap po sa pamamagitan lamang po ng cash and the eventually, pupunta na tayo sa tinatawag na online payment,” Edja said during the Laging Handa virtual briefing.

The GSIS is mandated to provide a defined benefit scheme under the law, and insure its members against the occurrence of certain contingencies in exchange for their monthly premium contributions. —LBG, GMA News
