QC records 11 additional COVID-19 cases


The Quezon City Health Department has reported that there are  additional 11 (eleven) cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) raising the total to 151.

The government also adds one fatality, the death toll has now reached 27.

On Tuesday, however, one recovery was reported, bringing the number of recoveries to 11 cases.

The Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine (EECQ) is implemented in several barangays as part of effort to curb the spread of the disease. These barangays are the following:

  • Tandang Sora
  • Kalusugan
  • Ramon Magsaysay
  • Maharlika
  • Tatalon
  • Batasan Hills
  • Pasong Tamo
  • Central
  • San Roque
  • Paligsahan
  • Bagong Lipunan ng Crame
  • South Triangle
  • Culiat
  • Bahay Toro
  • E. Rodriguez
  • San Isidro Labrador
  • Matandang Balara
  • Teachers Village West

Meanwhile, disinfection is ongoing and as of Tuesday, 138 barangays have been disinfected by the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office together with Quezon City Fire Department.

The Quezon City government has distributed more than 952,000 food packs as the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office launched its own mobile fresh market today in Barangay Mariana and Barangay Greater Lagro.

The Quezon city government has also announced that HOPE 2 Community Care Center, a temporary quarantine facility officially, was opened on Tuesday to accept persons under investigation of COVID-19. -- BAP, GMA News
