Suspects in Benilde student’s alleged hazing to surface soon –VP Binay

Suspects in the alleged fatal hazing of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde student Guillo Servando will surface soon, Vice President Jejomar Binay said Monday.

Binay gave the assurance after visiting Servando's family in Makati City on Sunday.

"Meron nang su-surrender diyan o merong mahuhuli... It's already happening," Binay, a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, said in an interview on GMA News TV's "News To Go."

Authorities have not yet divulged which fraternity is suspected to be behind Servando's death, although earlier reports said the student was applying  to join the Alpha Kappa Rho fraternity.

Servando was found unconscious inside a condominium unit in Manila on Sunday. The 18-year-old sophomore college student was confirmed dead by the funeral parlor where his body was brought.

Aside from Servando, three other students were found injured inside the condominium unit. They have been brought to the  Philippine General Hospital for treatment.

The Manila Police District homicide division said Servando had bruises on his legs and back when he was found, making him a possible hazing victim.

Servando's remains were brought to La Salle Green Hills in Mandaluyong City for a private wake.  —Andreo Calonzo/KBK, GMA News
