Suspect in Mandaluyong City gun-poking incident arrested

At least one suspect in the road incident along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue in Mandaluyong City one week ago has been arrested.

The suspect was not immediately named as police are still pursuing at least four more suspects, according to a report on GMA News TV's "News to Go" said Monday.

Earlier, dzBB's Rodil Vega reported police also recovered a Hi-Ace van, which was believed involved in the incident.

Police also recovered a black Toyota Corona (TMZ-408) but is still verifying its involvement in the incident.

For his part, Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas said it was still not clear if last week's incident was an abduction, but added their initial findings showed the gunmen may have been after the money being carried by the victim.

Last week, an incident involving armed men aboard at least four vehicles went viral online after a photo of the vehicles boxing in a sport-utility vehicle was posted online.

The photo showed armed men, guns drawn, surrounding an SUV along EDSA.

Police earlier said the incident could be either a case of carjacking or kidnapping— Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
