SUV catches fire during rush hour near EDSA-Quezon Avenue

A sports utility vehicle slowed down traffic after it caught fire Tuesday during the early evening rush on EDSA, GMA News "24 Oras" has reported.

Two explosions were also heard after the SUV caught fire around 6:30 p.m. near the corner of Quezon Avenue.

Firemen responded to the emergency and immediately put out the fire.

An initial report said that the fire started near the pedals of the SUV.

The owner said the vehicle was acquired only two months ago.
