5 killed in shooting incident inside Malabon cemetery


Five people died in a shooting incident in Brangay Tugatog, Malabon City early Wednesday morning, Super Radyo dzBB's Luisito Santos reported on GMA's "Unang Balita."

The fatalities were identified as a certain Peter Bakla, Fe Nicanor also known as Nene and Socorro Reyes or Bebeng Paa, Mirna Zulueta and her son Edmund Otico.

Zulueta's other child, Edmer, is in a critical condition and under observation at the Tondo General Hospital.

Malabon Tugatog Police Community Precinct Commander Senior Insp. Joseph Gordovez said the group was celebrating inside one of the mausoleums that they are guarding at the Tugatog Cemetery when they were shot at by a riding in tandem.

The gunmen left notes written on two pieces of bond paper, stating "Pusher kami wag tularan" and "Sunod na kayo papasok na kami."

Authorities ssaid Zulueta and her son were allegedly known in the area as drug pushers and that the area is being used as a drug den and an area for pimps.

A plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and several bullet shells were recovered in the area. The police are currently investigating the shooting incident. —BAP, GMA News
