Suspected pusher, 16 others nabbed in Quezon City drug den raid

Police arrested on Wednesday a suspected drug den maintainer and 16 other individuals were arrested in a raid in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City.

In an Unang Balita report by Victoria Tulad, the suspected pusher was identified as Rhea Salenga, a resident of Laura Street in Barangay Old Balara.

Police also arrested 16 people who were using shabu inside Salenga's home.

Before the raid, a police poseur-buyer bought drugs from Salenga.

Salenga was caught in a video taken by a police poseur-buyer selling drugs.

Old Balara barangay chairman Allan Franza said Salenga had refused their pleading to surrender.

Franza added that some of the 16 people also arrested during the raid had previously surrender in the police's Oplan Tokhang.

Police seized 37 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P170,000 cash, various drug paraphernalia and a video karera during the raid. —ALG, GMA News
