Suspected pusher caught using drugs in front of children

A suspected drug pusher was caught using shabu with his wife in front of their children in Sampaloc, Manila.

A report on 24 Oras on Saturday identified the suspect as Bernard Pilapil.

Senior Inspector Pidencio Saballo Jr., chief of Manila Police District Station 4's drug enforcement unit, said Pilapil was arrested in an operation after the operatives' confirmation of his alleged drug activities.

Saballo said they were able to get hold of two videos where Pilapil was using drugs with his wife in front of their children.

Other drug personalities were also caught in the two videos, he said.

Twelve sachets of suspected shabu were seized from Pilapil during the operation.

Pilapil has denied that he was a drug pusher, but admitted to using drugs.

In a separate operation, Manila policemen arrested a group of people caught in a shabu session in a house in Barangay 101, Tondo district.

Among those arrested was Jerry Arufo, the owner of the house and the main target of the operation.

Seized during the operation were six sachets of suspected shabu and an improvised shotgun.

The report said Arufo admitted that he was a user, but denied that he peddles drugs.

In another operation in Tondo, police killed a certain alias Kenneth in an entrapment operation.

Superintendent Jay Calimlim Dimaandal of the Manila Police's Station 1 said Kenneth fired his gun when he sensed that he was transacting with policemen.

"Wala pong nagawa 'yong ating kapulisan kundi mag-retaliate," he said.
