Manila court acquits Yu Yuk Lai daughter of drug charges
The Manila Regional Trial Court on Thursday acquitted Diana Yu Uy, daughter of alleged "drug queen" Yu Yuk Lai, of drug charges and ordered her release from detention, according to Mark Makalalad's report on Super Radyo dzBB.
In its ruling, Manila RTC Branch 49 declared that the search warrant against Uy is "invalid for lack of probable cause."

It also said the supposed contraband seized from Uy are "inadmissible in evidence" as it found "strong compelling evidence" that they were "planted."
Uy was arrested in November last year following a raid at her condominium unit in San Miguel, Manila, near Malacañang.
Agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency reportedly found an undetermined amount of shabu placed inside resealable plastic bags at her condominium unit.
Uy is believed to be a dealer of illegal drugs inside the Bureau of Corrections in Mandaluyong City. —KBK, GMA News
