Quiapo Church masses draw over 800,000 on day of Traslacion

More than 800,000 devotees on Wednesday attended the masses at the Quiapo Church as of 4:00 p.m. while waiting for the arrival of the the Black Nazarene.

According to the record of Manila Police District, the said tally was the accumulated number of the devotees who attended the hourly set of mass which started at 1:00 a.m.

Quiapo Church has conducted 12 masses in total as of 4:00 p.m.

The mass at 4:00 p.m. has so far the most number of attendees with 130, 000 devotees.

Despite the the advisory of the organizers and police not to bring kids during the festivities, children and even infants were seen during the masses at the Quiapo Church. —NB, GMA News
