American detainee found dead at Immigration facility in Taguig

An American national was found dead inside an isolation room of a Bureau of Immigration (BI) compound at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

The victim was identified as William Mark St. Cyr, 55 years old, resident of New Hampshire, U.S.A., according to a Super Radyo dzBB report by Mao dela Cruz

He was detained at the BI Warden Facility Protection Unit.

Initial investigation of authorities revealed that food server Loreto Abacia was delivering food for detainees when he noticed the foreigner naked beside his bed and in a kneeling position with his face on the ground.

Abacia, however, ignored the foreigner and continued serving food to other detainees, but notified security guard Mario Paelan of the situation afterwards.

Paelan then inspected the isolation room and discovered the lifeless foreigner. He reported the incident to the warden.
