Quezon City cops nab 3 drug personalities in Novaliches sting

An ex-convict and two other noted drug personalities were apprehended by Novaliches cops in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Gulod in Quezon City last Thursday night.

Police Senior Inspector Dennis Francisco, Chief of Station Drug Enforcement Unit-Intelligence Branch of the Quezon City Police District Station 4 identified the main target as Ernesto "Boy Komang" Miranda, 55.

Miranda allegedly  sold a sachet of shabu (worth P200) to an undercover police agent. Authorities collared the suspect.

Francisco said that Miranda is fondly called  alias "Boy Komang" by drug clients and fellow drug peddlers after he cheated death in an ambush years ago by unidentified attackers allegedly involved in drugs trade. His left arm has been permanently damaged after it was hit by a bullet during the incident.

Also arrested inside Miranda's house were Rowena Hernani, 44, a drug surrenderer; and neighbor Armando Sario, 56.

Just like Miranda, Hernani also cheated death few years ago when an unidentified gunman shot her due a dispute over illegal drugs.

Sario, on the other hand, had been convicted for illegal possession of firearms.

Miranda and Hernani admitted they were involved in illegal drug trade. Sario however denied he was peddling drugs but admitted he used to be a user.

Recovered from Miranda were four sachets of shabu, and Hernani and Sario each yielded a sachet.
