Mandaluyong to be placed under state of calamity due to water shortage

The city government of Mandaluyong is mulling putting the city under state of calamity due to the water shortage affecting its communities, a report on News To Go said Friday.

According to Mandaluyong Information Officer Jimmy Isidro, they are just waiting for the recommendations from various barangays.

Isidro said the declaration may be made either on Friday or Monday.

Mandaluyong is one of the hardest hit areas of the water shortage which is being blamed on the decline in the water level at La Mesa Dam. —KBK, GMA News
