The student was identified as Kenny Francis Pelipel, 21, according to a report by Vonne Aquino on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Sunday.
LRT personnel saw in the X-ray image during mandatory inspection of items brought inside the station that there were two glass tube pipes inside Pelipel's bag.
The security guard asked Pelipel to empty his pockets, which yielded a plastic container for hair wax containing suspected marijuana.
Authorities also confiscated the two glass tube pipes which allegedly still had traces of marijuana.
Pelipel refused to give a statement.
He will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
