Mayor-elect Isko Moreno: I want to govern Manila with a unified people

Envisioning a more "energetic, vibrant and blooming" Manila, mayor-elect Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said he wants to govern the country's capital with a unified people.

I don't want a divided city. I want to govern with a unified people of [the] City of Manila," Moreno said in an interview on 24 Oras with GMA News' Mav Gonzales, a few hours after claiming his victory on Tuesday.

Moreno, 44, was declared the next Mayor of Manila on Tuesday, defeating old-timers incumbent Mayor Joseph Estrada and former Mayor Alfredo Lim.

His running mate, Honey Lacuna, was proclaimed vice mayor.

The former actor and vice mayor also emphasized that elections were over and that it was time to heal and move on.

"So this is a time for healing. Tapos na po. Nagdesisyon na ang taongbayan. At panahon naman 'to move on. —Margaret Claire Layug/LDF, GMA News
