Netizen Gladys de Asis Pimentel said the explosion occurred at around 8 a.m. at the establishment located below their dormitory.

Photos she shared on Facebook show shards of glass strewn on the floor and hallway of their building, and the road in front.

She added that police officers were already at the site investigating the incident.

Members of the Manila Police District's Explosive and Ordnance Division said that based on initial investigation, the LPG tank at the yogurt place could have leaked.

The smell of LPG was still in the air when they arrived, according to the Super Radyo dzBB report.

The team has not found any explosive device so far.

Authorities have cordoned off Dalupan Street while investigation is ongoing.

Phoebe Almazan, owner of Yogurt and Tea House, said the LPG tank was turned off and everything was secure before they closed shop on Saturday evening, according to a report by Athena Imperial on GMA News' 24 Oras on Sunday. —KG, GMA News
