One dead in shooting incident on Osmeña Highway in Makati

A man was shot dead in Makati City when a suspect fired on the SUV he was riding in on Sunday morning, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Dobol B sa News TV.

The victim was identified as Jesus de Guzman, 63, a resident of Bangkal, Makati.

According to Ramona Dimayuga, the victim's wife, they were traveling on Osmeña Highway Service Road aboard their silver Honda CRV when a man suddenly approached and fired at their vehicle.

The suspect, who wore an olive green jacket, had a white helmet, and was on the heavy side, immediately fled after the shooting aboard a motorcycle.

The incident occurred at 8:25 a.m.

A priest tried to approach the vehicle to give the last sacrament but was escorted by police out of the scene of the crime.
