Fire hits residential area in Taguig

A residential area along Lawton Avenue in Taguig City was hit by fire on Tuesday morning.

According to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' Unang Balita, the fire in Barangay Fort Bonifacio started at around 7:40 a.m. and reached the second alarm.

Thick smoke engulfed the houses made of light materials.

Commercial establishments were also affected.

The Bureau of Fire Protection declared fire out at 8:31 a.m.

No one was reported hurt as residents were able to evacuate immediately.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire and the cost of its damage.—Dona Magsino/KG, GMA News
