Cops nab suspect who shot Pares vendor in Manila

The Manila Police District on Wednesday arrested the robber who shot a food vendor in Port Area, Manila on Tuesday.

In a video posted by Super Radyo DZBB on Twitter, Alexander Ogdamina even warned the public that robbers like him always mean what they say.

"Baka akala kasi nila mga tulad namin nagbibiro kami, 'di kami nagbibiro, 'pag sinabi namin, gagawin namin 'yon," he said.

He added he had already used up all the money and admitted he uses illegal drugs.

On Tuesday, Ogdamina shot Samsom Bautista, 41, in the neck and is now in critical condition.

CCTV footage showed that Bautista was already parking his food cart at the Baseco Compound when Ogdamina came and tried to grab the vendor's bag.

Bautista refused to give up his bag, which resulted in Ogdamina shooting him.

According to a "24 Oras" report earlier, Bautista may be paralyzed from the waist down because his spine was hit by the bullet. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
