Families of children kidnapped by white van points to 'cop' as suspect

The families of children allegedly abducted by suspect aboard a white van have pointed to a police officer as one of the suspects, MJ Geronimo reported on Stand for Truth on Wednesday.

According to the relatives, they found evidence through CCTV footage that allegedly showed a policeman was a driver of one of the white vans that had kidnapped their children.

"Nung nakita po namin siya sa CCTV, nag bigay po siya ng I.D. doon sa guard ng subdivision," Charito Concepcion, the mother of a missing child, said.

After viewing the video, Concepcion said the group looked up the police officer until they found him on Facebook. She further said that she had met the officer.

"Nakaharap ko na po siya. Inaasahan ko naman po na itatanggi niya, eh," Concepcion said.

Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said the PNP will not hesitate to take action should the suspect be proven to be a part of the PNP.

"Ayon sa ulat na ating natanggap ay nahirap(an) 'yung ating investigation team na matukoy kung sino talaga ang pagkakakilanlan [ng suspect]," Banac said.

"[K]ung sakali man talagang may ebidensiyang nagtuturo kahit sa sino man sa atin, sa kasama natin dito sa PNP, ay hindi natin ito kukunsintihin at agad na isasama sa imbestigasyon," he added. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BAP, GMA News
