Makati City resident tests positive for COVID-19

A real estate development company on Saturday said an individual from a residential building in Makati City has tested positive for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

"As of March 14, 2020, we can confirm a positive case of COVID-19 in Rizal Tower bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Rockwell Center to three," Rockwell Land Corporation announced.

The company has started tracing the people who came in contact with the resident.

"We are informing all those found to have been in close contact with the resident to go on self-quarantine as well."

With this, the company added that entry and exit points of the building complex will be limited.

"We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and cooperate with the recommended safety protocols to reduce incidents of transmission. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation."

The advisory did not mention whether the person in question is already included in the 111 COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country. —BAP/KG, GMA News
