QC gov't records 23 new COVID-19 cases, total at 174


The Quezon City Health Department has reported on Wednesday 23 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), brining the total at 174.

There are no reported deaths and the total number of deaths remains at 27.

There are also no reported new recoveries, the number remains at 11.

The Quezon City government has also announced that a partnership has been forged with the Fe del Mundo Hospital located in Banawe Street that will be an exclusive COVID-accepting Hospital effective April 6.

Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine (EECQ) is implemented in barangays with two or more confirmed cases located in different streets and/or in congested urban poor areas where fast transmission of the disease is highly possible.

The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Quezon City Fire Department continuously disinfects streets and highways and as of Wednesday, 142 barangays have been disinfected. -- BAP, GMA News
