COVID-19 cases in Quezon City reach 764


The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City reached 764 as of Saturday, April 11 at 11 p.m.

In a media bulletin, the Quezon City local government said out of the 764 cases, 659 have been confirmed to have complete addresses in the city.  Five hundred eighty cases meanwhile, have been validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.

Active COVID-19 cases on the other hand were 475.

Ten more patients were reported to have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 45.

The death toll increased to 60 after two deaths were reported.

 

Authorities said extreme enhanced community quarantine remains in effect in the following barangays with two or more confirmed cases in different streets or are in congested urban poor areas:

3. Ramon Magsaysay
4. Maharlika
5. Tatalon
6. Batasan Hills
7. Pasong Tamo
8. Central
9. San Roque
10. Paligsahan
11. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame
12. South Triangle
13. Culiat 
14. Bahay Toro
15. E. Rodriguez 
16. San Isidro Labrador 
17. Matandang Balara 
18. Teachers Village West 
19. Manresa
20. Paltok 
21. Sto. Domingo 
22. Bagong Silangan
23. Holy Spirit 
24. Payatas
25. Marilag
26. Socorro
27. Kamuning
28. Pinyahan
29. San Isidro Galas
30. Commonwealth 
31. Pansol 

 

A total of 639 locations in 142 barangays have been disinfected as of Saturday by the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Quezon City Fire Department.

Meanwhile, the city government reported that 105 residents were apprehended on Saturday for violating the extreme enhanced community quarantine. They were apprehended for not having quarantine passes and not wearing face masks.

The city government also said that as of Saturday, its temporary quarantine facility HOPE 1 has reached full capacity. It currently cares for 23 COVID-19 patients and 17 persons under investigation (PUIs).

Meanwhile, the HOPE 2 temporary quarantine facility still has 123 beds available for COVID-19 patients and PUIs. —KG, GMA News
