Grade 6, 12 graduates in Makati to get cash incentives

Makati City Mayor Abby Binay on Monday said Grade 6 and 12 students who were supposed to graduate this year would receive cash incentives from the local government.

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Binay said each student would receive P1,000.

"Dahil hindi nagkaroon ng graduation rites lahat ho ng aking 12,000 na Grade 6 at Grade 12, ngayong araw ho na ito, mamimigay ho ang lungsod ng Makati ng P1,000 sa lahat ng maggagraduate ng Grade 6 at Grade 12," Binay said.

"Taon-taon nagbibigay ho kami ng parangal sa aming mga honors..." she added.

Binay said the students would electronically get their cash incentives. She said details on how to enroll in the Makati City portal would be posted in the city's official social media account.

"Pupunta ho sila sa portal ng Makati, mageenrol ho sila dahil ang pagtanggap ho nila ng P1,000 ay electronic," Binay said.

Meanwhile, Binay said students with honors would also be given the following amount: Highest honor, P5,000; High honor, P3,000; With honor, P2,000. —Anna Felicia Bajo/LDF, GMA News
