Driver nabbed after trying to avoid control point in QC

A driver, who allegedly tried to hit a cop manning a control point in Quezon City, was arrested on Monday.

A Dobol B sa News TV report by Allan Gatus identified the suspect as Baron Bellison, an employee of a third party supplier of radio station dzBB.

The report said Bellison, who was driving a dzBB vehicle, did not stop at a control point at the corner of Katipunan Avenue and Aurora Avenue. He was also about to hit a cop identified as Police Corporal Mark Reyes.

Bellison tried to avoid the control point, however, the cops were able to stop him, the report added.

Gatus reported that an Bellison argued with the cops, prompting the law enforcers to order him to step outside his vehicle.

Cops were able to seize a plastic sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect.

Prior to that, the policemen noticed that Bellison also hid some sachets of suspected shabu inside his mouth.

Meanwhile, Bellison admitted that he used illegal drugs before but he already stopped when he became a driver, the report said.

The suspect also denied that the seized illegal drugs belonged to him.

The report said the management of dzBB has already coordinated with its third party supplier regarding the incident.—AOL, GMA News
