P5.8-M suspected shabu seized in Navotas drug ops; 4 suspects arrested


Authorities seized suspected shabu worth P5,814,000 during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Tangos North, Navotas City on Monday night. 

According to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Tuesday, elements from the Navotas City Police Station and the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the buy-bust operation along Tago Street which resulted in the arrest of four drug suspects. 

The suspects were identified as Ronnel Ereño, 22; Randel Dela Cruz, 24, who is included in the drug watchlist; Sheila Eyana, 31; and Christopher James Aguilar, 29. 

Seized during the operation were one small transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; 12 pieces of knot-tied, transparent plastic ice bag containing suspected shabu; another four pieces of plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; one piece staple-locked, transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu; some buy bust and boodle money; a grey sling bag; and a green eco bag. 

 

 

The NCRPO said the seized suspected shabu weighed 855 kilograms. 

The suspects were placed under the custody of the Navotas Police Station pending their presentation before the City Prosecutor's Office for inquest proceedings.

Complaints for alleged violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against the suspects. —KG, GMA News
