House falls into QC creek after water erodes foundation

A three-story house was destroyed on Friday after its foundation was heavily eroded by a creek in San Francisco Del Monte in Quezon City.

According to Jamie Santos' report on "24 Oras", half of the house fell into the water. No one was injured in the incident.

The brother of the house's owner, Alexander Flood, indicated that he was shocked by what happened.

"Nakita ko 'yung isang pader dito, bumagsak," he added.

Barangay Chairman Cornelio Pabustan said the owner of the house had not been home for some time now.

Authorities reminded residents near the river to remain alert and cautious amid the rain and to immediately evacuate should the water level increase. -Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
