Quezon City COVID-19 cases reach 2,911


The number of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City reached 2,911 as of 7 p.m. on Saturday based on figures from the Department of Health, an increase of 58 from the 2,853 figure reported as of Friday.

Of this number, 2,830 cases have complete addresses in the city, the Quezon City local government said.

The QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices validated 2,791 cases. 

The active COVID-19 cases totaled 1,037 as of Friday, 7 p.m.

The local government also said there were 45 new recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,537.

One new death toll meanwhile was reported, thus the death toll reached 217.

The following areas remain under special concern lockdown due to the high number of clustering of cases of COVID-19:

  • Calle 29 in Libis
  • Kaingin Bukid in Apolonio Samson
  • 138 Ermin Garcia St. in E. Rodriguez
  • 52 Imperial St. in E. Rodriguez
