Seven frontliners test positive for COVID-19 at UP Diliman

Seven frontliners at Kanlungang Palma and the University of the Philippines Health Service (UPHS) have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a UP Diliman COVID-19 bulletin, the patients have been isolated while their close contacts have been traced by the UPHS and the Public Health Unit.

The services will continue at the Kanlungang Palma and the UPHS.

"After consulting with an infectious disease specialist from the Philippine General Hospital, services will continue at the Kanlungang Palma and the UPHS," the bulletin said.

"Rest assured that the UPHS is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation on campus and will be updating the community about this," it added.

Meanwhile, the Philippines on Tuesday reported a total of 31,825 COVID-19 cases with 8,442 recoveries and 1,186 fatalities. -NB, GMA News
