Two in one home die of COVID-19 after family reunion in Manila

Two persons from the same household in Sta. Cruz, Manila died of COVID-19 on June 18 and June 20 after members of their family tested positive for the virus.

According to Ivan Mayrina's report on "24 Oras," the family recently had a reunion at the residence in Barangay 343.

There are a total of 13 active COVID-19 cases in the barangay from four households.

This was a cause of alarm for the barangay as most residents have started to be complacent.

A hard lockdown will be placed over Barangay 343 and 30 other barangays in the city starting July 4 and 5 as cases spiked within two weeks.

-Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
