50 Chinese nationals, 1 Myanmar national arrested over illegal POGO ops in Makati

At least 50 Chinese nationals and a Myanmar national were nabbed in Makati City on Monday night for allegedly being involved in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO), police said on Tuesday.

Initial information from the Southern Police District stated that operatives from the Makati City Police Station conducted anti-illegal gambling operation in a building along Victor Street in Barangay Pio del Pilar.

Authorities acted on the complaints about the illegal gambling operation in the area.

Police said the arrested foreigners were operating under Hua Xin POGO company.

Seized during the operation were laptops, gadgets, cellular phones with active sim cards, personal computers, broadbands, WiFi routers ,and multiple electronic one-time passcode.

The suspects are now under police custody. —AOL, GMA News
