Motorists line up for Manila's drive-thru COVID-19 testing

Motorists on Thursday lined up to get tested for COVID-19 at Manila's drive-thru testing area.

Launched on Wednesday, the drive-thru testing site is located near Andres Bonifacio Shrine and can be availed even by non-Manila residents. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said there had been a "surge" of people from all over Metro Manila to the drive-thru testing area on Wednesday.

"We're very happy and honored to be of service," he said, adding the system will be improved in the next 48 hours.

Moreno said they launched the service for those people who have "COVID anxiety" or those who are worried if they have the virus or not.

"Yung peace of mind, yun talaga ang goal namin," he said. —KBK, GMA News
