Mandaluyong mayor on quarantine after being exposed to COVID-positive in-laws

Mandaluyong City Mayor Carmelita "Menchie" Abalos is again placed under quarantine after having direct contact with her in-laws who earlier tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The mayor earlier announced that former Commission on Elections (COMELEC) chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. and his wife, Cora, have tested positive.

According to a report on "24 Oras," the former COMELEC chair and his wife are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Abalos in late March also underwent quarantine after being exposed to a COVID-positive individual. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
