P136-M worth of shabu seized in QC; 3 suspects nabbed

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Wednesday seized suspected shabu worth P136 million in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.

Three suspects were in Barangay Central identified as Yao Yuan, Piao Hong, and Israel Ambulo.

Authorities also seized 20 pieces of Guanyinwang tea bags containing white crystalline substance, weighing more or less 1 kilogram each; one unit of Nissan Cefiro; and four units of cellphones.

PDEA said cases for the violation of Sec. 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
