Face shields no longer in high demand in Divisoria

Face shields were no longer in high demand in Divisoria, according to Mark Salazar’s report on “24 Oras” on Friday.

Jonathan Centeno, a vendor, said despite following the Department of Health’s suggested retail price for face shields which is not higher than P50, its sales still went down.

“Naglabas na kahapon ng SRP, binigay na namin ng singkwenta, wala namang bumibili. Halos lahat kasi nagtinda na ng face shield eh. Ngayon, ‘di na alam paano mabebenta,” Centeno said.

Several sellers also said customers have resorted to buying from online sellers amid the threat of COVID-19.

The Department of Transportation last week released a Memorandum Circular which mandates the use of face shields, aside from wearing face masks, in any mode of public transportation service effective August 15, 2020. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
