Drug suspect who violated quarantine protocol nabbed in Makati

A man allegedly violating quarantine protocols in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City was arrested on Sunday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Monday.

The NCRPO found out that the violator, identified as 25-year-old Anderson Napolitano, was also a drug suspect.

Police said the suspect was roaming along Evangelista Street on the wee hours of Sunday without a face mask.

The policemen approached him and asked for his identification. Authorities then informed the suspect about the city ordinance he was violating.

Police asked Napolitano to empty his pockets. The suspect then dropped a sachet of suspected shabu with estimated value of P134,164.

Napolitano was brought to Makati City Police Station for proper documentation and filing of charges for alleged violation of E.O. No. 23 Series of 2020 (Curfew and Non-Wearing of Facemask) and Section 11 of Republic Act No. 9165.  —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
