NCR's COVID-19 quarantine facilities 60% occupied -Año

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año on Friday said the occupancy rate of the quarantine facilities in the National Capital Region, Central Luzon and Calabarzon is at 60%

"Hindi ko namo-monitor sa provinces but dito sa NCR, Region III and Region IV-A, mga around 60% 'yung ating utilization so ibig sabihin marami pa tayong bakante kasi every 14 days may gumagraduate," Año told reporters in Taguig City.

Año was asked about the status of quarantine facilities in the country as the national government now prohibits home quarantine among COVID-19 patients.

He said minimum health standards are not being well-observed at home.

"Our experience in Cebu, Bacolod, now recently in Batangas, in Laguna,
quarantine sapagkat hindi talaga nasusunod 'yung pag quarantine," Año said.

He said those who would not follow the ban on home quarantine could be penalized. -NB, GMA News
