P20.4M worth of shabu, marijuana seized in Taguig drug ops; 10 nabbed

More than 20 million worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana were confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City on Wednesday afternoon.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday said ten drug suspects were arrested during the operation while two minors were rescued.

Authorities alleged that the residence of one of the suspects was being used as a drug den.

Seized were 30 pieces of knot-tied large transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; three pieces of knot-tied medium plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; three digital weighing scales; two mobile phones; one eco bag; some P8,000; dried leaves suspected to be marijuana; and two P200 bills.

Police said the suspected shabu was worth P20,400,000 while the marijuana amounted to P50,040.

The suspects are detained at the Taguig City Police Station for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges.

The two minors, meanwhile, were turned over to the DSWD office in Taguig. — BM, GMA News
