LRT2 management temporarily suspends ops after Batangas quake

The Light Rail Transit Line 2 management has temporarily suspended its train operations after the magnitude-6.3 earthquake that struck Calatagan, Batangas on Christmas Day morning.

In a post on its Twitter account, the LRT2 management said its engineers are assessing the integrity of its railway after Metro Manila experienced quake intensities of up to Intensity IV.

In a later tweet, the  management said operations will resume as soon as the assessment work is accomplished and the rail system structures are found fit for operations resumption.

Meanwhile, the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) resumed its operations less than an hour after the  quake. —LBG, GMA News
