LRT2 management temporarily suspends ops after Batangas quake
The Light Rail Transit Line 2 management has temporarily suspended its train operations after the magnitude-6.3 earthquake that struck Calatagan, Batangas on Christmas Day morning.
In a post on its Twitter account, the LRT2 management said its engineers are assessing the integrity of its railway after Metro Manila experienced quake intensities of up to Intensity IV.
To ensure passenger safety, LRT-2 temporarily suspends operations after the magnitude 6.3 earthquake this morning. Our Engineering, Maintainance, and Safety & Security Team is currently conducting foot patrol inspection to assess the integrity of LRT-2 structures.

In a later tweet, the management said operations will resume as soon as the assessment work is accomplished and the rail system structures are found fit for operations resumption.
UPDATE: As of 10:52 AM, mopping operations started for Westbound direction. Mopping operations for Eastbound started at 10:35 AM. Operations will resume once found clear and declared safe & fit for operations.
