'BAKLA PO AKO'

Suspect in Christine Dacera rape-slay case denies allegations

One of the suspects in the alleged rape and killing of flight attendant Christine Dacera has denied any role in the crime.

According to a report on "QRT", Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman added that he and his companions didn't leave Dacera after she was found unconscious inside her room.

"Absurd," De Guzman said of the alleged rape.

"Paano magiging rape? Bakla po ako. Never akong nakipagtalik sa babae," he added.

On "24 Oras",  the son of singer Claire dela Fuente, denied that he and his companions left Dacera moments after she was found unconscious inside her hotel room in Makati.

De Guzman said Dacera was introduced to him by other flight attendants, whom the victim also personally knew.

De Guzman said he slept earlier than his companions, but found out only later in the morning that something suspicous happened to Dacera.

He added that they tried to revive Dacera, as he performed CPR to the victim.

De Guzman also rushed the victim to the hospital, and they also reported to the police station.

The singer-turned-businesswoman vouched for her son's innocence.

"Wala ho kaming tinatago, and I believe my son kasi tinawagan niya ako noon eh. Sabi niya, 'Ma, may situation dito. Parang patay na yata 'yung girl dito,'" Claire dela Fuente said.

We're seeking justice too for Tin," dela Fuente added.

John Pascual Dela Serna III, 27, Rommel Daluro Galido, 29, and John Paul Reyes Halili, 25 had been arrested following the death of the 23-year-old victim.

Meanwhile, Louie de Lima, Clark Jezreel Rapinan, Rey Englis, Mark Anthony Rosales, Jammyr Cunanan, Valentine Rosales, a certain Ed Madrid, and a certain Paul were those at large.

Dacera was found lifeless in the bathtub of a hotel room past noon on New Year’s Day.

She checked into the hotel along with friends for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

Aside from determining whether Dacera was raped, authorities have yet to find out if illegal drugs were used in the party, based on the account of one of the suspects.

Meanwhile, Dacera's family asked President Rodrigo Duterte for help in seeking justice for Dacera.

Sharon Dacera, Christine's mother, pleaded to the public not to judge her daughter.

"Okay, then you can make stories, but ito lang 'yung tanong ko. Anong karapatan niyo?" Sharon Dacera, in tears, said.

Lawyers of Dacera's family said they will find evidence to prove that Dacera indeed suffered from her companions that night.

"We are disputing the findings of SOCO, 'yung post-mortem report nila na they claimed na the cause of that was aneurysm, period. They did not specify doon sa report 'yung mga hematoma, 'yung bruises that were found in the victim's body. That's why we seek another post-mortem report from an independent medico legal," said Atty. Paolo Tuliao, one of the Dacera family's legal counsels.

"That's why it's important that we wait for the other medico legal so we can exactly determine what was the findings. We disagree with the findings of Dr. Sarmiento of the SOCO," said Atty. Roger Reyes, another one of the Dacera family's legal counsels. -Jamil Santos/NB/KG, GMA News
