Muntinlupa rolls out Sputnik V vaccines to seniors, persons with comorbidities
Muntinlupa government on Wednesday started the deployment of Russian-made Sputnik V vaccines in its locality, which will be used to inject senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.
This after the national government sent 3,000 doses of vaccines made by Gamaleya Research Institute to Muntinlupa because the city government has a capacity to store the drugs in the appropriate cold storage facility.
In a statement, the Muntinlupa government said Ospital ng Muntinlupa will use the vaccines to inoculate 250 members of senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.
Meanwhile, 130 members of seniors and persons with comorbidities will be vaccinated at the Asian Hospital.
Aside from Muntinlupa, the national government also allocated 3,000 doses each of the 15,000 Sputnik V shots to Parañaque, Manila, Makati, and Taguig.
The Philippine Food and Drug Administration records showed that Sputnik V has a 91% efficacy rate.
