According to another tweet, the Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital was inaugurated on Thursday, June 24.
Meanwhile, the Manila PIO said the facility has a 344-bed capacity, in a bid to decongest the local government's six district hospitals, as well as to allow the city to cater to more COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients.
On Friday, the city of Manila recorded 47 new active cases, pushing the total to 999.
It also recorded 79 new recoveries and two new fatalities, with a total of 65,515 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
