22 caught breaking curfew in Caloocan

Authorities rounded up 22 individuals, including five minors, caught breaking the curfew in Caloocan City on Tuesday night.

The individuals were from Barangay 69, according to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' Unang Balita on Wednesday.

Curfew is from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. in Metro Manila after the National Capital Region was placed under general community quarantine with heightened restrictions from July 23 to 31.

Some of those who were caught said they knew about the curfew but stepped out only to buy food. Others admitted they had a drinking session.

Authorities noted some of them had no face masks.

A fine of P3,000 was imposed on those who broke the curfew.

Meanwhile, authorities said they will talk to the parents of the five minors.

Barangay officials said they will continue patrolling the streets nightly to enforce the curfew ordinance. —KG, GMA News
