Man who got 3 COVID-19 jabs used same name to register in Mandaluyong, QC

A man who has been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Mandaluyong still received a booster shot in Quezon City. according to Raffy Tima’s report on “24 Oras.”

“Kumalat sa social media, siya daw ay kumuha ng dalawa sa Mandaluyong, nagpasaksak siya, okay ‘yun,” Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Benhur Abalos said.

(It spread on social media. He said he got two shots in Mandaluyong, that's okay.)

“Tapos sa ibang lugar na LGU, nagparehistro ulit siya, pangatlong beses na,” he added.

(But he once again registered in a different LGU for his third shot.)

In a deleted Facebook post, the man proudly announced that he was fully vaccinated with Sinovac three months ago. He added that he was vaccinated with Moderna this week.

The Quezon City local government  is investigating the case.

“Covered po siya ng penalty at saka 6 months imprisonment,” QC vaccine task force co-chair Joseph Juico said.

(It's covered by a penalty and 6 months of imprisonment.)

The man used the same name in registering for Mandaluyong and Quezon City.

At present, authorities are looking for the individual to observe him due to the vaccine mixing.

The local government of Mandaluyong is already coordinating with barangay authorities.

“We are still trying to get in touch with the individual. We already asked the help of the barangay. Once we are able to talk to him, we will be able to get a better picture of the incident,” Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos said.

“We have to hear his side. A thorough investigation will be done first before exploring any legal action,” she added. —NB, GMA News
